KCBNA is a registered charity (no. 1083901) and a company limited by guarantee (no. 3929601).  The organisation was established in 1980 by local residents concerned about many issues which were having an impact upon the population living in King’s Cross.

KCBNA’s  mission is: ‘To improve the quality of life of local residents with the active involvement of people in the King’s Cross and Brunswick areas of the London Borough of Camden.’  Staff and volunteers do this through the provision of a wide range of activities which KCBNA delivers from three community centres and on an outreach basis.  The organisation has a ‘cradle to grave’ philosophy and therefore provides services and activities for people of all ages.  These include: advice, information and guidance supporting local people into education, training and employment; health promotion activities; after-school homework clubs; community cohesion work; an extensive youth work programme; over 20 activities per week for older people; regular community consultation; community events and; work with local Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) communities.
